Supplier engagement is key to a successful sustainability strategy

Sustainability goals cannot be achieved in a vacuum. Because there are so many players involved in each step of a supply chain, to achieve sustainability ambitions, companies must work in conjunction with their suppliers. By strategically pre-selecting suppliers, establishing a symbiotic partnership, and fostering open communication, companies and suppliers can affect lasting sustainability within their supply chains. 

Achieving this level of supplier engagement is imperative for a successful sustainability strategy. Supply chain management must be approached holistically and include all stakeholders.
